(Greenville, SC) Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina (GIUMSC) is dedicating a new mural on the side of their Haywood Road Clearance Center in Greenville to honor their 50th Anniversary in South Carolina. The mural - a partnership between GIUMSC, Blank Canvas Mural Company, and Greenville County Schools - is the first of many initiatives planned throughout 2023 to highlight the Goodwill’s mission to “provide access, information, and resources to help people improve their lives through the power of work.”

On Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 9 a.m., Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina (GIUMSC) will open the doors to its brand new Chesnee retail store and Job Connection. The new location (2316 Chesnee Hwy, Spartanburg) represents the first for Goodwill in the Chesnee area, and the fifth in Spartanburg County. The store and Job Connection will stand as one of Goodwill’s flagship locations, providing donation, retail, and employment assistance services all in one location.

Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina (GIUMSC) is partnering with community organizations to paint a mural on the side of their Haywood Road headquarters. The vibrant mural depicts a girl’s dream of a thriving community where differences are valued and people work together to spread goodwill to all. It’s the first project for GIUMSC to celebrate their upcoming 50th anniversary. The 1440 sq. ft. installation will face the new Swamp Rabbit Trail Bridge over Haywood Road and is expected to be completed by mid-February. An unveiling event will be planned for late February
