Tech Academy

Our comprehensive training programs are designed to mold a new generation of adept professionals, equipped to build networks, protect digital assets, and confront emerging cyber threats head-on.

Drone Pilot Program
Goodwill and AINautics have assembled a team of seasoned drone pilots who will share their extensive knowledge and real-world experience with participants at no cost.
The program, for ages 16 and older, includes a Drone Bootcamp that will prepare participants for the FAA 107 Part A exam by teaching the fundamentals of Federal Regulations, drone vocabulary, understanding how to obtain a remote pilot certification airspace classification, operating requirements, and weather reporting.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age: 16
- No GED or previous experience/training required
- 9th Grade reading level and mathematics understanding (an assessment will be provided at a local Goodwill location)
Film Academy
Offered in partnership with Urban League of the Upstate, Goodwill's Film Academy is a four-week course designed to introduce learners to essential skills and technology to work in the film and television industry. The class meets weekly in Greenville, SC, and participants receive a training stipend.
Those who complete the course become eligible to join "Stage 32," an international networking and educational site for film, television, and theater professionals.
The Film Academy opens a number of career pathways including:
- 3D Gaffing
- Environmental Design
- Virtual Production Supervisor
- Optitrack Operator
