Homebound Heroes
Homebound Heroes is the Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP) provided by Goodwill and designed to offer job training, housing assistance, counseling services, networking opportunities, and other support services to veterans and their families.
Program Details
Homebound Heroes is the Goodwill program dedicated to helping homeless military veterans in Upstate South Carolina reach their full potential through the power of work.
Participants work with Goodwill and other community partners to receive the job training, housing assistance, counseling, and other support services they need to succeed. Each veteran participant receives an individualized assessment to pinpoint their needs and help them develop the skills and connections needed to build sustainable, independent lives.
Goodwill’s Homebound Heroes program is 100% funded by the U.S. Department of Labor through a grant award totaling $207,839.

Veterans Housing & Transition Services
Goodwill's Homebound Heroes program offers expanded veterans housing and transition services thanks to grant support from the South Carolina Department of Veterans' Affairs. Through this grant, Goodwill provides job training, housing assistance, counseling services, and networking opportunities for veterans in 16 counties across Upstate and Midlands South Carolina.
Services Overview
- Assists eligible South Carolina veterans with housing assistance, utility or rental assistance, drug addiction treatment and transitional housing programs
- Serves homeless veterans or veterans at imminent risk of being homeless with resources to obtain housing
Goodwill’s Homebound Heroes Veterans Housing and Transition services are 100% funded by the South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs through a grant award totaling $250,000.
