Film Academy

The Film Academy is the third offering within Goodwill's Innovation Institute, joining the ELEVATE Drone Pilot Training Program and the Tech Academy. The Film Academy equips learners with the skills needed to break into and thrive in the world of television and film.

Program Details

Focus Your Future

Offered in partnership with Urban League of the Upstate, Goodwill's Film Academy is a four-week course designed to introduce learners to essential skills and technology to work in the film and television industry. The class meets weekly in Greenville, SC, and participants receive a training stipend.

Those who complete the course become eligible to join "Stage 32," an international networking and educational site for film, television, and theater professionals.

The Film Academy opens a number of career pathways including:

  • 3D Gaffing
  • Environmental Design
  • Virtual Production Supervisor
  • Optitrack Operator
