We’re celebrating our “Goodwill Greats,” associates who have dedicated 20+ years and Board Members who have committed 10+ years to serving our mission, customers, and community. 

Gayle has worked in four of our Midlands stores over the past 22 years with Goodwill. She currently works as a Production Associate in our Lexington store along Highway 378. We sat down with Gayle to get her insight on the past two-plus decades of spreading Goodwill to All.

Question: What's the first word you think of when you hear "Goodwill"?

Gayle: Relationships. I think about the happy customers I meet. For some of them, we know each other by name. It's nice to see the "regulars," say hello, and know we're happy to see each other.

Question: What do you enjoy most about working at Goodwill?

Gayle: I enjoy learning new things, especially as this job has evolved since I started in 2003. I was raised to work hard; something I learned from my dad. To this day, I take a lot of pride in my work. I do enjoy that feeling.

Question: What keeps you going at Goodwill?

Gayle: This is really my home away from home. It's simply where I want to be, and where I want to retire one day.
