Roaring Into the Future: Goodwill Partners with EdVenture for a Dino-Sized Adventure!

April 15, 2026

Something BIG has arrived in Columbia—and it has claws, teeth, and a powerful message about sustainability! Goodwill has partnered with EdVenture Children’s Museum in Columbia, South Carolina, for the exciting new exhibit, Fossils to Futures.

This larger-than-life experience brings dinosaurs back to life in a creative and unexpected way. Towering dinosaur sculptures made from recycled and repurposed materials help transport families into prehistoric worlds filled with imagination, discovery, and learning. Even better? Goodwill proudly donated clothing and materials that were used in the creation of these incredible creatures!

That means yesterday’s donations are now part of today’s adventure.

Designed for children ages three to twelve, Fossils to Futures combines the thrill of dinosaurs with important lessons about recycling, reuse, and caring for our planet. Kids can explore hands-on activities, engage with interactive exhibits, and discover how everyday items can be transformed into something extraordinary.

It’s the perfect reminder that with a little creativity, old items can have a brand-new purpose.

Inside the exhibit’s Materials Lab, visitors can also watch Goodwill’s “What is Clutter?” video—adding another fun and educational layer to the experience. It’s a great opportunity for children and families to think differently about the items around them and learn how donating and repurposing can make a positive impact.

This partnership reflects what Goodwill is all about: creating opportunities, inspiring change, and helping communities see the value in what might otherwise be overlooked. By teaming up with EdVenture, we’re helping spark curiosity in young minds while promoting sustainability in a way that’s fun, memorable, and larger than life.

So, if you’re ready to stomp, roar, and explore, make plans to visit Fossils to Futures at EdVenture Children's Museum. It’s a dino-mite adventure with a purpose!
