Nurse Aide

Certified Nurse Aide Training Program

This course provides classroom and supervised clinical training in the fundamentals of safe, knowledgeable care giving, and Work Readiness curriculum including resume development, workplace professionalism, interviewing, work ethics, basic computer skills, communications and financial management. In addition to preparing students for the South Carolina Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation Testing Program, the course provides job skills training and helps students cultivate the attitudes and behaviors of a competent care giver.

Upon successful completion of the state examination, the graduate is a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) as defined by state and federal laws. This certification is required for employment. CNAs are sought after employees for hospitals, long-term care facilities or nursing homes, care homes, private homes, adult day care, clinics and hospice. Participation in the program does not guarantee you employment upon completion; however, you have access to the resources of Job Connection.
