The 4th Annual St. Francis Upstate Challenge Run is a four mile stretch of land covering wooded terrain, creek beds and fields run by teams of four. It includes thirty-two obstacles such as rope walls, cargo nets, balance beams, low crawls, rope swings, climbing walls and mud pits. The course requires running, jumping, climbing, slogging, sloshing, crawling and raw determination!
Additionally, there will be a quarter mile course designed for children 4 years old and above. Course includes climbing walls, rope crawls, rope swings, and lots of water and mud.
The Challenge Run will be held from 9 am - 5 pm on Saturday, May 3rd at the Navy and Marine Corps Reserve Center at 669 Perimeter Rd. in Greenville.
The funds raised from the 4th Annual St. Francis Upstate Challenge Run will assist Goodwill in providing job training and job placement to the thousands of people they serve every year. Additionally, this event is a partnership with the Marines and the Annual Toys for Tots Campaign and will assist underprivileged children in the Upstate of South Carolina at Christmas.
