Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina is a National Safety Council Occupational Excellence Achievement Award Winner
The National Safety Council (NSC) has announced that Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina has been honored with an Occupational Excellence Achievement Award for reporting injuries and illnesses that involved days away from work equal to or less than 50% of the BLS rate for their 6-digit NAICS code. GIUMSC had a perfect record in 2009 with no injuries involving days away from work. This award is a component of the National Safety Council’s member-exclusive Occupational Awards Program, created to recognize outstanding safety achievements among members. GIUMSC has received this award for 4 consecutive years from 2007 to 2010. This award will also put GIUMSC in the running for “Industry Leader 2010”, an award that has been achieved 2 consecutive years.
As an award winner, GIUMSC has helped set the standard for what the National Safety Council considers to be “the best of the best” in safety and safety performance.
