Goodwill Goes Boutique

A fresh spin on value shopping…this is not your momma’s Goodwill.  Goodwill Industries recently opened the “Goodwill Boutique” on 11011 N. Radio Station Road inside the already existing Seneca Goodwill Store.  “The Goodwill Boutique has high end items at value prices,” says Tony Liller, the Vice President of Marketing and Development.  “It’s a new shopping experience where our customers get more than what they pay for.”

The Goodwill Boutique is a hip store that is stocked full of designer dresses, accessories, jeans, handbags and more and will help keep customers trendy while not breaking their pocketbooks.  Baby Phat, Ellen Tracy, Austin Reed, Gucci, Geoffrey Bean, Ann Taylor, Saks, Ferragamo and Armani are just some of the brands that make their appearance at the Goodwill boutique. "What we're trying to is appeal to a different audience of shopper," says Sandra Riggins, Regional Manager for the Seneca store.

“And don't forget,” says Liller, “you're doing something good for the community by shopping at a Goodwill store. The bottom line is 93 cents on the dollar goes to program services to provide opportunities for people with barriers to employment," he says. "In 2008 we served 16,270 people in their quest for independence and created a potential economic impact of over $48.4 million through the wages of the 2,897 people placed into employment.  So by finding (and buying) designer wear at 1/3 of the cost -- you're helping your community in many ways."

Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina helps people with disabilities and special needs become independent citizens through education, training, and employment leading to job placement.
