Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina is a National Safety Council
Occupational Excellence Achievement Award Winner for 2008

The National Safety Council (NSC) announced today that Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina has been honored with the Occupational Excellence Achievement Award for reporting injuries and illnesses that involved days away from work equal to or less than 50% of the BLS rate for their 6-digit NAICS code. Goodwill Industries' rate was less than 10% of the national average. This is the 2nd consecutive year Goodwill Industries has received this award, along with others. This award is a component of the National Safety Council’s member-exclusive Occupational Awards Program, created to recognize outstanding safety achievements among its members.

As an award winner, Goodwill Industries has helped set the standard for what the National Safety Council considers to be “the best of the best” in safety and safety performance. In recognition of their successes, Goodwill is featured in the Nation Safety Council's "Member's Spotlight" this month.
