The Goodwill Industries Foundation of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina was founded in 2005 to assist Goodwill Industries in establishing and expanding its mission of helping people in the community with disabilities and special needs become independent citizens through education, training, and career placement services.

The goal of Goodwill Industries Foundation is to become a major financial contributor to Goodwill’s services, which support the constantly changing needs of the workforce in the Upstate and Midlands of South Carolina and strengthens Goodwill's efforts to help people improve their education, skills, and employability, ultimately allowing them to obtain economic self-sufficiency.
