HOW TO DONATE TO GOODWILL
Every Goodwill success story begins with a donation. By giving to Goodwill, you are doing much more than just funding and supporting Goodwill’s training and employment programs. You are reaching out to change someone’s life.
Goodwill Industries of Upper South Carolina, Inc. is a South Carolina state registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a Federal ID. Your donations to Goodwill are tax deductible. Goodwill’s Donation Center attendants will gladly provide you with a donation receipt for your tax records.
It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to assign a monetary value to your donation. A valuation guide to help you determine this value can be found here. If your donation is valued at more than $4,999.00, you will need to have your donation appraised. That appraisal should accompany your tax receipt from Goodwill.

Financial Contributions

Donations of Clothing and Household Items
Drop your donation off at any one of our convenient store locations or attended donation centers. To find the nearest donation center, please choose your city from the drop-down list on the right side of the page. Goodwill accepts donations of a wide variety of merchandise but please, no hazardous materials.

Furniture Pickup Service
Goodwill offers at-home pickup services for large, gently-used furniture and appliances in excellent condition. Unfortunately, due to the transportation and labor costs, the home pickup service is limited to large items and a restricted service area. Goodwill will make every effort to service you within these limitations. Please call (864) 239-2930 for more information.
Vehicle Donations
Goodwill accepts vehicles, including boats and other recreational equipment, in running and non-running condition. Your donation may be used for Goodwill’s Wheels to Work program if it qualifies, or be sold at one of our monthly Goodwill Auto Auctions or at one of our licensed Auto Retail Centers.
We handle all our sales and auctions and use no third party sources to move our vehicles. We value your donation and want to maximize your contribution to fund our job training programs. For more information, please click here ».
