 Volunteer Program

Goodwill Industries now provides citizens of the Upstate and the Midlands an opportunity to assist in our important mission to help people with disabilities and other special needs become fully independent through the education and training which leads to job placement.  Goodwill’s purpose is not merely to provide a chance, but to offer disadvantaged individuals an opportunity and a means toward self-sufficiency…and a foundation for self-worth. 

The service of dedicated volunteers will enhance the work of Goodwill and help cultivate an atmosphere of acceptance for the individuals we serve, further breaking down the barriers to inclusion in society.

In turn, members of the community who volunteer their time will reap the immeasurable benefits that are the rewards of service, compassion in action. 

Volunteer positions will cover a range of activities from clerical assistance to retail assistance or other special events.  There are openings, also, for individuals with specific skills such as foreign or sign language interpretation, motivational speaking, or mock interviewing.

Minimum Age Requirements: Should be at least 16 years of age with supervision unless authorized by Goodwill.
